The Virtual MDB Lab

Objectives

  • Learn database analysis and design using the TSER method and the CASE tool IBMS.
  • Gain some hands-on database processing experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Create a basic e-commerce platform using public domain or common software, such as PHP, Apache, XML, JAVA, Access, and MySQL.
  • Build the knowledge of e-commerce application development with a Web database.
  • Conduct systems analysis using the CASE tool IBMS.
  • Understand the relationship between process models such as Data Flow Diagrams and database design through TSER.
  • Acquire ways to create Metadadabase as an enterprise integration tool.
